PRISS COVE
If the weather is fine, we will be dancing on the beach at Priss Cove. This beautiful beach is well off the beaten track.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE allow plenty of time if you haven’t been here before – like an hour to find it just in case you struggle to find it.
DIRECTIONS FROM MAWNAN SMITH
Go left past the pub, drive up and out of the village. The road curves sharply round to the left just before Nansidwell and there is a right hand turn to Mawnan Church. Take this lane – there are a few houses down here. After half a mile or so on your left is a green “public footpath” sign and a gate leading down a track. Find some parking here. If you reach Mawnan Church, you’ve gone too far.
DIRECTIONS FROM FALMOUTH
Take the road from Maenporth Beach towards Mawnan Smith. Just past Nansidwell (you may see some cars parked in layby along the road here) is a little turning on the left to Mawnan Church. Take this lane – there are a few houses down here. After half a mile or so on your left is a green “public footpath” sign and a gate leading down a track. Find some parking here. If you reach Mawnan Church, you’ve gone too far.
DIRECTIONS ON THE FOOTPATH
It’s a good 20 minute walk down a footpath through a cow field to the beach.
You walk down the track marked “public footpath”, over a stile and into a cow field which slopes down towards the sea – follow the hill down – you’ll have to cross the hedge at the bottom over a stile and just past this stile, on the right, is a little tunnel through the hedge down onto the beach – it’s pretty well hidden and difficult to see until you get right up to it.
Once you get on the beach, turn left and we will be down the far end.

Getting Home
Please be aware it will be dark if you are walking back up at night – I will be leaving out some solar lights to guide people and there are no steep cliff paths. There will be a waning gibbous moon if the skies are clear so it should be bright.
